Dr. Thomas
Moore is nationally recognized as an early childhood consultant,
keynote speaker, workshop leader, and children's recording artist.
He has given more than 800 speeches and workshops in the United
States and abroad. From a keynote address to 1,200 k-12 teachers

that educate and encourage teachers.
Moore's
ten recordings for children are used in classrooms and homes nationwide.
His books include Humpty Dumpty Dumpty, a children's book,
and Where is Thumbkin?, a resource book for teachers. Moore
is a contributing author of the Wright Group/McGraw-Hill curriculum,
DLM Early Childhood Express.
Moore is
a columnist for Children and Families, the magazine of the National
Head Start Association. His articles last year included cover stories
for Early Childhood Today and Parent and Child. Moore
has also written for Young Children, the journal of the National
Association for the Education of Young Children, and has been quoted

In his varied
career, Moore has given a solo voice recital at Carnegie Recital
Hall, hosted a children's television show, taught preschool, directed
a children's choir, and composed two symphony pieces for children.
He has been a university associate professor of early childhood
education and coordinator of the North Carolina Head Start Collaboration
Project.
Moore earned
his Bachelor of Music from Manhattan School of Music, and his Masters
and Ph.D. degrees in early childhood education from Indiana State
University. Indiana State recently presented Moore with its Distinguished
Alumni Award. Moore is also the recipient of The Order of the Long
Leaf Pine, North Carolina's most distinguished civilian honor, for
his work with children. However, his most prized possession is the
"Angel Among Us" award, presented by Mrs. Fullagar's K-2
class in Laurinburg, North Carolina.
"Thomas Moore mesmerizes his audience and gets standing
ovations. He is the only speaker we bring back year after year."
Pamela Schiller, Ph.D. Past President,
Southern Early Childhood Association and Texas AEYC; Organizer,
DLM Early Childhood Conference, Texas
Some Words About Music
With his extraordinary baritone voice, his B.A. in Music from
Manhattan School of Music, and his solo recital at Carnegie Recital
Hall, Thomas Moore could have chosen to be a professional musician.
But his heart lead him elsewhere -- to children.
Dr. Moore is not a performer. Instead, he uses music as a tool
to teach. His keynotes merge music with solid speaking content to
create an inspiring experience for his audience.
The Official Musician of the National Head Start Association,
Dr. Moore has dedicated his life and music to bringing people together.
"The foundation of my work is how much I value teachers.
I celebrate the teacher." Dr. Thomas Moore
